The Guild provides growth for
the members through Online Art Gallery, Online Forums, Online Member Web
Site listing, Carving Shows, Auctions, Charity Carving Auctions, and
Exhibits.
The United Chainsaw Carvers Guild is an organization of chainsaw carvers
with members in several countries worldwide. Our purpose is to promote
the art of chainsaw carving and serve as an artistic reservoir for the
cultural exchange of this art. It functions as a bridge for national and
international cooperative programs and educational opportunities. It
supports publications to enhance the enjoyment and skills of chainsaw
carvers everywhere by freely sharing knowledge, experience and
friendship for the mutual benefit of all.
The UCCG is a registered nonprofit organization that serves as a
valuable resource for international communication and cooperation
amongst both professional and novice chainsaw carvers. Our membership is
comprised of chainsaw artists from all walks of life and represents an
extremely diverse range of artistic styles. The creative talent
exhibited by our many members is truly staggering. This pool of
knowledge is available to anyone who wishes to join. We are a friendly
group dedicated to sharing our talents for the betterment of our art
form and our members. The UCCG publishes a bi-monthly newsletter titled
"The Chainsaw Letter" which is full of interesting articles written by
our members pertaining to the art of chainsaw carving. In it you will
find tips and techniques, carvers personal profiles, show and
competition schedules and pictures of chainsaw carving from all over the
world. Dues for the united chainsaw carvers guild are $20.00 US and
$25.00 for international members. We welcome all those interested in
furthering their skills as a chainsaw artist, as well as those who may
wish to support worldwide cooperation and friendship through the mutual
appreciation of chainsaw art.
